The 20th Annual Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP) Conference will be held on Saturday, January 17  from 1 – 5 p.m. in the Keating Building on the UA Health Sciences Center Campus.  UBRP is one of the largest, oldest and most successful programs of its type in the country.  We typically support 140  undergraduate students annually who publish their work in scientific journals and present  at scientific conferences.  Our record of sending students on for post  graduate education and into research careers is excellent.  Many of our alums now work at Ventana Medical Systems, sanofi-aventis, and other companies where the skills they built with UA researchers are put to good use.

The keynote speaker this year is Dr. Jared Ragland.  Jared is a 1996 graduate of UBRP and UA who is now director of the Intellectual Property and Innovation in the Office of the US Trade Representative.  He will be speaking in Keating 103 at 2:45 pm.

More than 100 posters  will be presented on Saturday covering a wide range of topics, but all are biologically or biomedically related.
