UA neurologists win $1.6M to study epilepsy in seniors

[Source: UA News] – Two University of Arizona department of neurology researchers have won a $1.6 million grant from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to study the incidence of newly diagnosed epilepsy among seniors in Southeastern Arizona.

Professor and department head Dr. David Labiner and research professor Jenny Chong hope to measure the incidence of epilepsy across ethnic groups and identify factors that predict clinical outcomes.
