Born and raised in a small town in Connecticut, Trevor Abarzua moved to Arizona at 18 years old to attend Arizona State University. Trevor’s start to his career was with Senator John McCain’s 2016 re-election campaign as a statewide field representative. After the successful campaign win, Trevor joined Gov. Doug Ducey’s team as a policy assistant, and was then promoted to director of operations and logistics for the governor.

In her current role as Chief Strategy Officer, she carries out agency wide strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation efforts, and special projects. In this work, Carla coordinates the Arizona Health Improvement Plan (AzHIP Healthy People, Healthy Communities), a multi-sector partnership focused on priorities to improve the health of Arizonans.
She began her public health work at ADHS as an epidemiologist within the Tuberculosis Control Program. Since then, she has held roles as Bureau Chief for the licensing of health professionals and facilities as well as Office Chief for infectious disease programs including tuberculosis and STD elimination and HIV care and services.

Quintin Boyce was born and raised in Chicago and has been an educator since 2002. In 2005, he began working in the Phoenix Union High School District as a teacher at South Mountain and Bioscience high schools where he taught biology, chemistry, and forensics.
After earning his doctorate from Arizona State University in 2012, he moved into school level administration as the principal of Bioscience High School and later Camelback High School. Melissa (Mel) Sanderson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, when the city was still segregated, to first-generation immigrant parents. Robyn has worked in county government for 25 years, serving in communications with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office before transferring to the Superior Court Clerk’s Office.
In 2008, Robyn ran for Yuma County Recorder and started her first term on January 1, 2009. Robyn served as Arizona Recorder’s Association secretary/treasurer, vice president, and president from 2012 through 2015. Robyn previously served as the president of the Arizona Association of Counties and is currently serving as past president for AACO. She is also a graduate of the County Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C., and serves on the National Association of Counties Membership Committee.
