Chris Camacho
Chris Camacho joined the Flinn Foundation Board of Directors in 2024. Mr. Camacho serves as the president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) and has helped to attract more than 540 companies, 100,000 jobs and $57 billion in capital investment to the region during his tenure. He has particular expertise in emerging technology, tax policy, and international economic development.
In 2021, Mr. Camacho led GPEC to recognition as the top economic development organization globally by the International Economic Development Council a year after being named first in the U.S. Prior to joining GPEC in 2008, Mr. Camacho served for four years at the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation, including the final two as president and CEO.
He currently serves on the boards of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the International Economic Development Council, Partnership for Economic Innovation, and Valley of the Sun United Way.
Mr. Camacho graduated from Southern Illinois University with an undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate degree in public administration and policy analysis. He attained his Economic Development Certification in Economics and International Development from the University of Oklahoma.
