The newest Flinn Scholars and the Flinn Foundation honored 19 Arizona educators yesterday for their outstanding dedication and service. Each educator was nominated by a member of the 2003 class of Flinn Scholars for having a significant impact on their education and development.
The educators received plaques commemorating the occasion at the Flinn Scholars recognition dinner in Phoenix.
The Flinn Foundation was established in 1965 by the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert S. Flinn with the broad mission of improving the quality of life in Arizona. In addition to the Scholars program, the Foundation supports programs in biosciences and the arts in Arizona.
