UMC in top 5 of 98 academic medical centers

[Source: UA News] – For the third consecutive year, University Medical Center on the University of Arizona campus has won a coveted Quality Leadership Award from the University HealthSystem Consortium, or UHC, a national organization comprised of 107 U.S. academic medical centers.

The award is granted annually to five academic medical centers delivering high-quality care as measured by the UHC Quality & Accountability Study. This year, 98 academic medical centers were included in the analysis, which measured safety, timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency, equity and patient-centered care.
