UA project works to improve infant hearing testing

[Source: UA News] – Nearly every infant born in the U.S. is screened for hearing loss almost immediately after birth, but such tests can carry some challenges. 

Ideally, the diagnoses would be completed early to ensure that interventions can begin prior to six months when infants have tremendous capacity to learn and understand speech.
