Tucsonan Myers named to fill regents vacancy

[Source: AzBiz] – Tucsonan Rick Myers was named by Gov. Jan Brewer Jan. 12 to fill the vacancy on the Arizona Board of Regents created by the expiration of Fred Boice’s eight-year term as of today (Jan. 19). 

Myers, whose appointment must be confirmed by the state Senate, is chief operating officer of C-Path, the Critical Path Institute that is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the University of Arizona, and pharmaceutical companies to find ways to speed the development of drugs and bring them to market. Myers is retired from IBM.
