Raymond DuBois to keynote AZBio Expo 2013

Arizona State University’s renowned cancer expert Raymond DuBois, M.D., Ph.D., who was named executive director of the Biodesign Institute last year, will be the keynote speaker at the Arizona Bioindustry Association’s AZBio Expo 2013, the state’s annual premier bioscience event.

The event, featuring speakers, company presentations, exhibits and networking opportunities, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 30 at the Fiesta Resort and Conference Center in Tempe.

DuBois, a physician-scientist, plans to speak about the emerging discoveries at the ASU research facility he oversees. He also holds the Dalton Chair in ASU’s School of Health Solutions and has a faculty appointment at Mayo Clinic. Before coming to ASU, DuBois served as executive vice president at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

The event will also feature an update from Congressman Paul Gosar, DDS, who represents Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.
