NAUTeach at Northern Arizona University is an undergraduate certification program for secondary science and mathematics teachers. It’s modeled after the UTeach program designed at the University of Texas at Austin. The UTeach model results in increased student recruitment and improved teacher retention upon graduation. The goal for Arizona: To increase secondary science teacher graduates from 25 to 45 per year and secondary mathematics teacher graduates from 8 to 15 per year.
