Together, Phil and Amy Mickelson and ExxonMobil created the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy to provide selected teachers with the opportunity to enhance their mathematics and science teaching skills and discover new ways to motivate their students.

Developed by the National Science Teachers Association and Math Solutions, the Academy curriculum focuses on mathematics and science content and provides teachers with creative teaching methods to increase student interest and achievement in these disciplines. Academy instructors are mathematics and science educators with years of classroom experience and expertise. Invitations to attend the Academy were extended to school districts based on Phil Mickelson’s PGA tour schedule and major ExxonMobil work locations.

Through this partnership, ExxonMobil and the Mickelsons continue to strengthen their commitment to fostering the development of a younger generation of scientists, mathematicians and engineers.
