[Source: Sally Mesarosh, The Republic] – An affordable option for college students who seek a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology has just been announced by Mesa Community College and Northern Arizona University. MCC and NAU have created the first biotechnology pipeline between a community college and a university in Arizona.

Students can take 75 credit hours at MCC, then transfer these units to NAU toward a bachelor of science in biology, with a certificate in biotechnology. The articulation is unique as it represents a partnership between publicly-funded institutions with the goal of providing a quality biotechnology education to Arizona residents at an affordable cost.
