Groundbreaking set for nation’s 1st K-12 school in a university research park

The Vail School District and UA Tech Park have enjoyed a long and collaborative relationship starting in 1997 when Vail High School opened its doors at the Tech Park. Students have enjoyed internships, work study programs and after-school jobs. Employees have mentored students to explore career and job opportunities in the fields of math and science, lent their expertise to student projects and showed students what it looks like to work in technology fields. The UA Tech Park and the Vail School District invite you to join us for the groundbreaking of the Vail Academy and High School, the first K-12 school in a University Research Park in the U.S.  The groundbreaking is Wednesday, February 3 at 3:30 pm at the school’s new site at the Tech Park.

 

Directions: Take I-10 to Kolb road. Head North on Kolb road to Tech Park entrance (about ¼ mile). Follow directional signs in Tech Park to the construction site for the Vail Academy and High School site.
