Flinn Scholars Program information session now online

The Flinn Scholars Program invites high-school students, parents, teachers, and counselors to an online information session to learn about the benefits of the Flinn Scholarship, one of the nation’s most prestigious merit-based scholarships and strategies to assist in building the strongest application.

In part two of the Flinn Scholars Information Session, the deans of the honors colleges at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona share what top students can expect at their colleges.


Application Advice and Tips from Flinn Scholars

In part three of the Flinn Scholars Information Session, current Scholars share personal perspectives on the Flinn community, study abroad, university academics, high-school activities, and tips for the Flinn Scholarship.


Where to Learn More about the Flinn Scholarship

The Flinn Scholars Program hosted four in-person sessions in March and April in Flagstaff, Glendale, Tempe, and Tucson. These information sessions are held each spring.

While these sessions are strongly encouraged, attending an in-person session or participating in the online session is not required to apply for the Flinn Scholarship.

How to Apply for the Flinn Scholarship

The Class of 2020 can begin its application for the Flinn Scholarship at www.flinnscholars.org in mid-August 2019. The deadline to apply will be in mid-September 2019.

About 20 of Arizona’s highest-achieving high school seniors are selected each year, joining a community of nearly 650 current Scholars and alumni.

Flinn Scholarship Benefits

The merit-based scholarship program covers the cost of tuition, fees, housing, and meals at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona. In addition, Flinn Scholars attend a three-week summer seminar after their freshman year and at least one additional study-abroad experience. The overall financial package is valued at about $120,000.
