Flinn-Brown Fellow Celeste Plumlee has been appointed as the newest state representative for Legislative District 26, which covers parts of Tempe and Mesa. She was among three candidates considered by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to complete Andrew Sherwood’s term after he was tapped to fill state Sen. Ed Ableser’s seat. Celeste currently serves as vice chair of the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence Board of Directors and holds master’s degrees in social work and public administration from Arizona State University. Celeste will join Flinn-Brown colleagues and current state representatives, Ken Clark and Stefanie Mach, at the Capitol in January.
