BIO5 to Host K-12 Science Teacher Symposium April 28

Sublime Slime, Cootie Genetics, Tox Rap, Insect Discovery and The Teenage Romance Riddle are a few of the workshops available to K-12 teachers during the BIO5-sponsored 2007 Arizona Science Teacher Symposium on Saturday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the BIO5 Institute, 1657 E. Helen Street on The University of Arizona (UA) campus in Tucson.

The event is attracting interest from around the state. Registrants to date include teachers from Kingman, Chinle, Flagstaff, Payson, Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, Casa Grande, Tucson, Sierra Vista and Douglas.

In addition to hands-on professional development workshops, this special event offers tours of the new BIO5 building, a lunchtime keynote speaker from the Human Origins Genotyping Laboratory at the UA and an expo that highlights UA
