Barrow Neurological Institute receives $1 million grant from Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust

Helmsley Charitable Trust has awarded a $1-million grant to Barrow Neurological Foundation for the construction and equipping of a research facility at Barrow Neurological Institute. The facility, which includes a wet lab and a cutting-edge 7 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit, will be used for collaborative research between Arizona State University and Barrow in the areas of neuroimaging, neurorehabilitation, neural engineering, motor control, movement disorders, brain and spinal cord trauma, cancer, and neuroprotection.
