[Source: Phoenix Business Journal] – ASU is one step closer to finding cures and preventing diseases based on a person’s genetic make up.

Some of the state’s biggest bioscience players have been tapped to lead the consortium where reseachers will work to develop signature drugs and treatments for life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer.

The ASU Biosignatures Consortium Initiative’s goal is not only to diagnose illnesses, but also to predict the risk of disease. Biosignatures are unique to each patient’s age, sex, health and genetics.
