The Latest Progress of the Biosciences in Arizona

The report highlights the substantial gains the state has made in the biosciences since 2002 and the major advances in 2023.

This two-page flyer describes the application process for the 2024 cohort of the Flinn Foundation Bioscience Entrepreneurship Program, which selects up to six Arizona early-stage bioscience companies each year and provides funding, connections, and support. The application, which includes a two-page executive summary and pitch deck, is due January 29, 2024.

Seed Grants Program Brochure

August 2023

The Flinn Foundation Seed Grants to Promote Translational Research Program funds 10 Arizona-based research teams each year that are advancing new products or services addressing significant clinical needs. This brochure provides information about the latest cohort with an application deadline of Oct. 2.

The awardees will each receive a $100,000 grant over 18 months, plus programmatic benefits. At the end of the grant period, up to two of the most successful projects may receive up to an additional $100,000 over the following year.

This brochure presents important accomplishments aligned with Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap that occurred in 2022, from research achievements and enhanced clinical care, to further maturation of Arizona’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and steps forward by key firms. And the brochure observes that the recruitment of the world’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturer to Arizona was an important moment for the biosciences, which is drawing ever closer to other high-tech sectors.
