Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center was founded in 1895 by the Sisters of Mercy and was the first hospital in the Phoenix area. The 667-bed center is a not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services. The hospital features a cardiovascular center, a center for thoracic & esophageal disease, a comprehensive cancer center, a heart and lung institute and a congenital heart center.
