BIOTECHNOLOGY PIPELINE

TRANSFER 75 CREDITS FROM MCC DIRECTLY TO NAU

Mesa Community College and Northern Arizona University are proud to announce the first ever Biotechnology Pipeline between a community college and a university in the state of Arizona.

Students can take take 75 credit hours of coursework at MCC, then directly transfer these units to NAU toward a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, with a Certificate in Biotechnology.

The articulation is unique as it represents a partnership between publicly funded institutions with the goal of providing a quality biotechnology education to Arizona residents at an affordable cost.  The articulation is also noteworthy for the amount of biology and chemistry courses included in the agreement. Students will take 6 semesters of biology courses and 5 semesters of chemistry at MCC.  Upon transfering to NAU students will be required to complete 45 additional units, largely upper division biology courses.  With the amount of fundamental science and applied, hands-on courses, graduates of this program will be some of the best science students produced by the state.
