Individual grants of up to $25,000 and collaborative grants of up to $50,000 are up for grabs for Arizona-based mental health research scientists whose proposals pass muster. Funds are provided for one year, from April 3, 2006 to April 2, 2007, and cover direct costs only. The application deadline is September 16, 2005.
Proposals related to child and adolescent mental health, brain disease and injury, schizophrenia, and depression, or that promote the study of Hispanic or Native Americans, are encouraged, but not required.
The institute is based at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center and at Barrow Neurological Institute. It is also housed at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson.
