The City of Phoenix has launched TECHCITY, a new Web site featuring a myriad of biotechnology information and resources. The site, phoenix.gov/techcity, is geared toward biotech and technology firms interested in relocating to, or expanding within, the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The site offers the second edition of a biotechnology directory that provides detailed information on biotech firms, venture capital funds, and research institutes in the Phoenix area. In addition, TECHCITY provides a comprehensive technology resource guide that provides practical information on starting and expanding a business in the Valley.

Other features include an interactive presentation that helps businesses to see the Phoenix area through pictures; facts and statistics on the local biotechnology landscape; and information on the Valley's primary business centers.

The site was launched by the Community and Economic Development Department's Technology Office.
