Joan Shapiro tapped by medical school

[Source: Phoenix Business Journal] - Joan Rankin Shapiro is leaving her post as vice president of clinical and translational research at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center to become associate dean for research at University of Arizona College of Medicine — Phoenix in partnership with Arizona State University.

After 20 years with St. Joseph’s, Shapiro will oversee the medical school’s research program. She will remain on the research faculty at St. Joseph’s and will oversee compliance of the Phoenix hospital’s research enterprise.
